Every night we go home and turn on the news channel to find headlines full of violence, aggression and we wonder how this world keeps moving in spite of so much of several layers of bias which is actually the root cause of all this.
Yeh Mera India is an attempt to explore the real stories behind these headlines. These stories deal with racial bias, local bias, caste-based bias, class bias, gender stereotyping, bias and lingual immigrant bias that plaque in today's society, and the results are alarming. It is the human ability to redeem themselves at any given time, which reveals that behind all the bad news is good news.
It is a story about a day in the lives of 12 persons from various strata of Mumbai city, is a melting pot of cultures. They all start the day with a goal in mind, but, surprisingly, end up achieving the exact opposite, giving it a sense of Greek tragedy futile human efforts ahead of an inevitable fate. But Yeh Mera India, it is more of a reversal of fortune from bad to good than from good to bad.
